Vendor games Nintendo is having bad luck. This Japanese company announced huge losses worth USD 925 million within a period of six months to September 2011.Nintendo losses caused too strong yen currency values and their lack of success of new products. 3 Nintendo DS is expected to hit a new sweet about 3 million units sold. In addition, Nintendo is also too late to present some of the top video games.
"Nintendo faces a very heavy right now. The competition in the gaming industry grew louder, and Nintendo should attract consumers who have been using smartphones and tablets," said Koichi Ogawa, an analyst at Daiwa SB Investments Ltd..
As quoted by Bloomberg, Friday (28/10/2011), Nintendo will also projects a loss in the financial period of one year, that they had never experienced in 30 years.
Hopes are now focused on the Nintendo Wii U. Console games that will be marketed mid-year 2012 will be the successor to the Nintendo Wii which was the most popular console games, beating the PlayStation and Xbox.
