The SWAP Nova measures 6.9 x 3.8cm and is under 2cm thick, and it weighs only 43g, but it manages to squeeze in a 1.8in colour screen and can still comfortably fit into a user's hand, as you can see from our picture above.

It's no smartphone, with no access to email, the world wide web or 'apps', but it does have Bluetooth connectivity, a calendar, clock and radio. It can also play music stored on the supplied 2GB micro-SD card, which can be replaced for up to 8GB of storage.

At the company's stand at the Gadget Show Live 2011 in Birmingham's NEC, the phone was recognised by Guinness World Records as the lightest in the world.

SWAP was also showing its watch-phone the Rebel. Both the Rebel and the Nova are available from SWAP's website and other retailers.
